To excel in any endeavor, individuals need to have a strong set of values and a solid character that gives them perseverance to achieve their goals. The Gracie Barra Future Champions Program was created to provide children ages 3-15 with a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu environment that allows them to experience and understand core values like focus, discipline, persistence, cooperation and respect.
As we offer contact sports, Gracie Barra Clearwater provides a very challenging yet safe and caring environment for a child to mature towards a real life champion. The outcome of continued childhood practice of martial arts goes far beyond the accomplishments on the mats. The discipline and excellence demanded by our instructors often carries over to the child’s behavior at home and at school.
Our Future Champions Programs are subdivided in different age groups within the BJJ programs to accommodate students of different ages and skill levels:
Little Champions 1 (Children's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 3-6 years old)
Offering 3 classes per week, 45 minutes long.
The perfect foundation to your child's Martial Arts endeavor! Saturday classes are competition oriented and gives students a chance to practice what they've learned in a fun, competition oriented environment.
Little Champions 2 (Children's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 7-9 Years Old)
Offering 3 classes per week, 1 hour long.
These classes take training to the next level while still maintaining a fun environment. Students are partnered up by size and skill level during training. This program offers some additional class variation with competition and No-Gi classes in addition to the Gi classes.
Juniors BJJ (Children's Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 10-14 years old)
Offering 3 classes per week, 1 hour long.
This Brazilian Jiu Jitsu program is vital to a students transition from youth programs to adult programs. Instructors have higher expectations of their students practice ethic in classes and healthy competition is encouraged as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle, diet and school career. This program offers competition classes, No-Gi classes, Grappling classes and Advanced Gi classes.
Generally, once students are 13-16 years of age, depending on their skill/experience level and size, they will be transferred into the adults programs, which offers many more class times and training partners (of all ages, many teens in these classes!). This transition is discussed on a case by case basis with your instructor and your child.
